AERO Q3 2010

A few years back I was really tied in to the 747-8 Program as its Customers Leader. So I was more than a bit intrigued when I saw the new edition of AERO just out.

This edition features several articles, including a wonderful description of the 747-8 and its capabilities.

It’s a piece I think you’ll find very interesting.

Ed (San Diego):

Hi Randy--I just happened to be looking at the Defense News blog about the 747-8's assembly progression. The photos of the interior show a much more modern design that is more consistent with the 787 interior and the new 737 Sky Interior proposals. Why were the side walls changed to look more like the current 747-400? Somehow, this doesn't make the plane look really new like some of the older mockups did. Many have posted on this subject (as well as myself) and have not been able to get any satisfactory answers.

Norman (Long Beach, California, United States):

The interior of the 747-8 does have some resemblance to the proposed sky interior of the 737. The ceiling on the proposals do look like they are lighted by blue LED lights.

Paulo M (Johannesburg, RSA):

Looks great! Good luck with the sales campaigns.
