I always enjoy pointing out important Boeing milestones. And when that milestone also involves a customer, it makes it even more special. That’s why I’m thrilled to show off photos from today’s first flight of Qatar Airways’ first 787 Dreamliner. A beautiful airplane with a beautiful livery. Congratulations to Qatar. Enjoy the photos— and my thanks as usual to Boeing photographer Ed Turner.

WSJ says that you are going to fly demo this plane routinely at the Farnborough Air Show next month. How exciting!

The 787 sure looks great in Qatar's colours. Will this be the aircraft exhibiting at the Farnborough Airshow in July? Another happy customer I bet. Well done to one and all at Boeing on a great product

A beautiful bird in great colours... Qatar livery really looks great... and don't forget another milestone for the 787 program, ANA and JAL, announce best performance, and fuel burn than expected in operation of 787 fleets.
Congrats to all Boeing Dreamliner team for a great job.

I saw the Aviation Week article where ANA and Japan Airlines are reporting that the 787 is beating fuel burn expectations, and with the supposedly "overweight", early versions at that! I will be keenly interested in Qatar's experience with this PIP1 GENx equipped bird since they also fly the A330-200. We will finally get an apple-to-apple comparison with the 787-8's competitor.

Randy,
Local news reports that one of our businesses in town has become a supplier for the 787. Thanks to Boeing, they're going to double in size. Kudos and thanks for helping a small firm in the middle of Iowa corn fields.

Congratulations to both Qatar and Boeing. As Qatar makes a great travel experience for its customers and Boeing makes a great Airplane for those "Airlines", who desire a quality product.
