Right on track

Executing on our production rates. It’s one of our top priorities this year as we drive toward our delivery guidance of 715 to 725 airplanes. That would be an all-time Boeing record.

As of the end of May, we remain on track to meet that guidance. We’ve delivered a total of 271 airplanes this year (compared to 245 during the same time frame in 2013). Airbus has logged 248 this year.

And just five days into the month of June, our delivery centers have been busy with even more deliveries—including the 150th 787 which went to launch customer ANA.

The 150th 787 to be delivered leaves Everett.

We also booked 14 new orders over the past week, bringing our net total for the year to 394. Airbus stands at 203 orders as of May 31.

While the Farnborough Airshow is just around the corner, we continue to book orders throughout the entire year—- not just during one week. We thank all of our customers for their orders and vow to get those airplanes into their hands as soon as possible.

Hello Randy.
My name is Yukari, live in Tokyo Japan, a jazz musician, play piano and sing in English.
I really enjoy your journal everyday.
Last month, I took 787(ANA) for the 1st time, and 2 times actually, from Haneda to Osaka / Haneda to Miyazaki.
It was so comfortable that I didn't want to get off the airplane !!!
I really loved 787 !
Sorry I don't speak English well...
Next time, I'll be flying from Haneda to Sapporo on Sep 18th, and coming back to Tokyo on Sep 24th, of course by 787 :)

I enjoyed the Journal entry. Congratulations on the last few years, as these 2014 YTD numbers represent the hard work by all at Boeing for its progress measure. Its not all work since it starts with Boeing's Vision for its aircraft and company. However, being on track is a great achievement for Boeing's Mission statement as well. All efforts are in place for Boeing's continuous improvement model as it separates from the competition. Warm regards from wingingit/liftndrag.

Congrats to the 150th 787...it.s a beauty! Last week the first 787 for Arkefly arrived here in Holland.. It.s the first time that I saw a real 787.. what a fine looking aircraft! KLM follows next year with the -9..Glad to here that everything is on track..If it ain.t Boeing i ain.t going..

Greetings from the Netherlands.

It's good to see the 787 production lines going strong and I particularly look forward to see the 787-9 go into production.
