Humanitarian delivery

I had the pleasure of taking part in a delivery event yesterday at Boeing Field, as Biman Bangladesh Airlines celebrated its first direct-purchased 737-800.

The first direct-purchased 737-800 for Biman Bangladesh awaits delivery at Boeing Field. All photos by Jim Anderson.

The Dhaka-based airline is undergoing a fleet modernization plan, and currently operates a total of six 777s and two 737-800s. With this delivery, they add one additional 737-800—with four 787 Dreamliners on order.

The airline also used the delivery flight to ship humanitarian supplies back to Bangladesh. Congratulations to everyone at Biman.

Biman Bangladesh certainly has a great modern fleet of Boeing aircraft.
